In 2024, NAOC will be holding our December Board Meeting in conjunction with the Army Military Munitions Safety Standdown (referred to as M2S2) Technical Meeting in Huntsville, Alabama at Redstone Arsenal.
The membership committee has identified the Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville as the venue to hold our Board Meeting and a Reception/Networking event, but are not planning to hold separate technical sessions in December. Free Breakfast is available at the Embassy Suites for those staying onsite or $20 per person for those staying offsite.

General Schedule of events for NAOC and M2S2 Sessions (a link to the M2S2 agenda is provided below):
- Tuesday December 10th:
- 0800 - 1130 - NAOC Board of Directors Meeting (Open to Members only) at Embassy Suites, when M2S2 is holding DoD only events. Note no coffee/tea or snacks will be available during the Board meeting as breakfast is provided by Embassy Suites.
- 1130 - 1300 - Lunch on your Own
- 1300 - 1315 - M2S2 Welcome Session at Redstone Arsenal
- 1315 - 1700 - M2S2 Open Plenary Sessions at Redstone Arsenal
- 1800 - 2000 - NAOC Reception (Open to Members and Government) at Embassy Suites. Drinks and food provided free of charge.
- Wednesday December 11th:
- 0800 - 0815 - M2S2 Welcome Session at Redstone Arsenal
- 0815 - 1135 - M2S2 Breakout Sessions at Redstone Arsenal
- 1135 - 1315 - Lunch on your own
- 1315 - 1635 - M2S2 Breakout Sessions at Redstone Arsenal
- Thursday December 12th:
- 0800 - 0815 - M2S2 Welcome Session at Redstone Arsenal
- 0815 - 1135 - M2S2 Breakout Sessions at Redstone Arsenal
- 1135 - 1315 - Lunch on your own

Session locations on Redstone Arsenal:
- Plenary sessions will be held at the The Bob Jones Auditorium, which is located in Building 5304 in the Sparkman Center on Restone Arsenal.
- Breakout sessions will be held at the Diane Campbell Conference Center, which is located at 3711 Aerobee Rd on Restone Arsenal (Building #3711).
Registration Information:
- Foreign nationals without permanent resident cards is closed. This applies only to foreign nationals who do not possess a U.S. Permanent Resident Card (also known as a resident alien card, or Green Card).
- All other non-DoD registrations is extended to 3 December.
There has been a change to the visitor request process that will affect everyone who registered prior to 29 October. To get on to Redstone Arsenal (RSA) for the event, each non-CAC holder must now use the link at the bottom of this message to request visitor access. This must be done at least five days prior to the start of the conference.
Please note that everyone who registered on or before October 29 should receive an email from Andy Schwartz with instructions to use the new visitor request process via the URL below. This change allows for them to extend the registration deadline to December 3rd (excluding foreign nationals). The vetting process for US citizens and for foreign nationals with Permanent Resident Cards is very quick with the new system being used by the RSA security office.
Moving forward, the M2S2 registration website has been updated so anyone who registers will be instructed to complete the RSA visitor request as part of their M2S2 registration process. You will no longer be required to provide your driver’s license information.
The RSA visitor request system can only accept requests WITHIN 10 days of your planned visit. Please add a reminder on your calendar to complete the visitor request on/after 1 December 2024.

This forum will bring together USACE, DoD leaders, federal land managers, state and federal regulators and contractors to discuss munitions response cleanup issues and initiatives, share programmatic information, and share lessons learned to foster strong working relationships.
