2025 CAPITOL HILL FLY-IN
The 2025 NAOC Fly-In is scheduled for Wednesday March 26th 2025.
The annual NAOC Congressional Fly-In is a grassroots effort to engage with members of Congress and one of the most effective tools we have for generating support for NAOC’s legislative priorities. This event is one of the reasons behind our continued success in receiving programmatic language and increased funding included in the annual Defense Authorization and Appropriations bills.
Please be prepared to discuss program challenges and successes. Real life experience carries a lot of weight pursuing additional funding and program improvements.
Fly-In Attendance and Participation is Worth the Time and Effort Because Constituent Input Matters!
Fly In General Itinerary:
830AM: General Arrival at Glackin LLC [Address: 412 1st St. SE, Washington DC 20003] Please Note: Parking is very limited and the lot is often closed to non-monthly permit holders. Uber, taxi or Metro is advisable); Nearest Metro is Capitol South (Silver, Orange, Blue line).
9AM: Check In
9:30AM: Brief reminders, orientation, distribution of group schedules, group photo
10AM: Teams disperse to meetings for the day based on individual schedules
4:30PM: Groups reconvene for socializing at Bull Feathers [Address: 410 1st St SE, Washington, DC 20003]
Below are a few additional reminders to assist with planning for the 2025 NAOC Fly-In:
- Dress in business attire,
- Wear comfortable shoes (there will be LOTS of walking between offices),
- Passing through security/metal detectors is required for entry into each of the different offices (no metal heels, weapons, knifes, etc.),
- Backpacks, purses, water bottles are allowed,
- Personal items may be left at the Glackin office and can be picked up after the meetings,
- Bring lots of business cards!
